How did you learn photography?

My Dad bought me a manual, film SLR when I was 16.  It was an Olympus OM-1 with a 50mm lens. I took that OM-1 to France with me in the late 80s!  I took photography classes in high school and college but ultimately earned my BFA in art history.  I stumbled around for a long time not making images at all, or casually using an Olympus dSLR or Canon point and shoot.  The photography bug bit me again a few years ago.  To help define my style, I spend a lot of time looking at art.  To hone my skills, I attend workshops and lectures. I also spend an inordinate amount of time on the internet reading and watching how-to videos but mostly I learn by getting out there and doing it.
